About us

What started as an idea has turned into a dream, and not just for me.

    Hi, my name is Heidi Moir - founder of The Bakehouse off the Wheaten Path.

         The idea for our 100% gluten-free bakery began long before we opened our doors. Years ago, my son was experiencing behavioral issues, and through our journey to help him, I discovered my own gluten intolerance. Baking became more than a hobby - it became a necessity and a passion.

           In 2018, l officially started this bakery, baking out of a shared kitchen in the South Valley just three days a week with one amazing employee by my side. By 2023, we welcomed our second employee and opened our very own storefront.

Today, I am so proud to say we have grown to a full team and are open six days a week, serving our community with gluten-free treats that everyone can enjoy.                                        From day one, we have partnered with local coffee shops to deliver fresh gluten-free baked goods - their support, along with the loyalty of our customers, has made all of this possible. Thank you for believing in our mission and for allowing us to be a part of your lives, one gluten-free bite at a time!
